For Conejo Recreation and Park District 5 Board
Safety, schools, and recreation are three vital elements that make our community a place where someone would choose to call home and raise a family. These three pillars of our community have allowed us to enjoy a lifestyle that is difficult to match anywhere in the world. CRPD has an integral role to play in managing the recreational infrastructure that Tex Ward and the City Council had the foresight to envision when our city was chartered in September of 1964.They knew that taking a wonderful slice of Ventura County and calling it Thousand Oaks needed a plan to set aside property and finances for CRPD to optimize the ambiance of each section of our city.
When I moved into the area in 1996 from Los Angeles, to continue my work as a practicing dentist, the park system was a welcome addition to our busy lives and source of enjoyment for my young family.
I pledge to take this vision of integrating recreational opportunities with community design to preserve going forward a CRPD park and open space system that we can pass on to our children and grandchildren as a place to call home and raise a family.

My Agenda
Unlike some campaign jargon you may have heard recently, I have no particular agenda for radical change in the management of the wonderful recreational assets we have at our disposal through CRPD. That said, our recreation and park department has a $35 million dollar budget to manage greater than 50 parks and venues in our city. This can be a daunting project for any agency considering the size and scope of all the projects CRPD manages. The symbiotic relationship CRPD has with COSCA and the City Council is an important part of good management practices which have been utilized by these agencies since the inception of Thousand Oaks in 1964. I want to insure you that with my tenure on the CRPD board I will prioritize the continuity of these communication channels to meet the demands of every constituent of our city.
Vision, Issues, & Values
I would appreciate your support and would love to represent you on the Conejo Recreation and Park District 5 Board.
My priorities are:
- Ensure CRPD properly manages funds available to deliver mission critical services
- Protect access to parks and open space for all appropriate public use
- Preserve our mutually beneficial relationships between CRPD, COSCA, and the City Council
The Leadership Our City Needs Right Now
